Kelly Brothers recently completed painting our vacation home in the Lake Tahoe area. We couldn't be more pleased with the work they did. It's beautiful! Even more impressive was their service prior to the job being started. We were given a very fair, competitive price quote. We received communication regarding project start dates and what to expect well in advance and even more amazing, the work began and was completed,as promised, on schedule.I would strongly recommend Kelly Brothers to anyone looking for a quality paint job with incredible customer service to support it.

Some of these pre-painting tasks include moving furniture away from the walls, covering furniture and flooring, taping off areas, removing knobs and other hardware if you’re painting cabinets, filling holes in drywall, and cleaning them. It’s a good idea to clear away pictures, vases, and other knick-knacks, so they don’t get in the painters’ way as they work. Plus, this ensures your belongings stay safe.
Before a new paint job is done, it is important to make sure you don’t have any old paint chipping away and causing problems.
As you begin painting your home, your first question may be, “how much interior paint do I need?” For spaces that range from 1,000 to 4,000 sq.ft., the average indoor painting cost ranges from $3,000 to $16,000. The average house size is 2,500 sq.ft. A gallon of paint can cover around 400 sq.ft., which is approximately the size of an average living room.
Be prepared to “play” with a color wheel. We'll put one in your hands so you can see, right before your very eyes, how every color has a complementary “cousin.” Spending time with a color wheel can help you choose a color palette for your home painting project. Also known as a color scheme, it can guide many of your purchases, and not just for paint, but also for accessories and window treatments.
While many people choose to paint all the walls in a room a single color, it’s also possible to paint each one in different styles. On average, this costs between $70 and $500. These include using an accent wall, two-tone walls, using patterns or stencils 3 2 to create decorative elements on the walls, painting a mural, or using faux painting techniques such as sponging.
Painted brick will revitalize an exterior that is showing its age, whether it be discolored brick, repairs that don't blend in, or an addition that was added on that has a different colored brick. Painting the brick is a solution to make them look uniform once again....
A semi-gloss paint offers visible shine on home exteriors and is ideal for surfaces that require frequent cleaning. The glossier sheen makes semi-gloss paint more durable than satin, so it’s easier to clean. Semi-gloss paint can also endure harsh weather conditions and withstand excess moisture. While a semi-gloss paint finish can look beautiful on trim details, it isn’t a good choice if you need to conceal cracks, chips, or other surface imperfections.
Latex paint, also known as water-based paint, dries faster and is more environmentally friendly than oil-based paint.
Your home interior typically doesn’t need to be painted as often as the exterior. However, there are some simple painting frequency rules you should follow to keep your paint looking fresh in every space and on every surface inside your house.
Many factors impact how often you should paint your home, but there are basic guidelines you should follow. For common spaces like living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, you can get away with painting every five to seven years as long as you use high-quality paint.
Conduct some research on any painting company you think you can hire. Crosscheck their references and the record of the company with consumer organizations like Angie’s List and the Better Business Bureau.
4. Wear coveralls! Wear shoe protectors. Wear a head sock! Wear goggles! Especially when first starting out, and/or are spraying a ceiling, you will get paint everywhere. My glasses will never be the same.
I had my condo painted by Kelly Brothers. Justo and his crew Eqrue and Jesus. Took them 5 day's painting everything. All closets, doors, trim and baseboards. They painted two coats on all ceiling and walls. Justo and his crew did a excellent job & I would recommend them to anyone. I walked in several times without them noticing and they took their time being very careful while painting. Pleasant and friendly. No I didn't know anyone in this company before I had it painted. The estimaent seemed a little high but I always believe you get what you pay for and it was well worth it. They left me three gallons of paint one for each color I had painted. Thanks again Justo, Eqrue and Jesus.
Secondly, think about how many coats of paint you want to do. If you are priming the walls first, one coat might be enough, whereas two coats are often needed if walls are not primed.
