It’s never too early or too late for you to invest in improving your home. As projects around the house start to build up, so can the stress levels of homeowners. Owning a home in the Pacific Northwest is not easy, you feel like there is never an “ideal time” for you to get your house looking the way you imagine. However, you might be surprised to know that there are home improvement projects where winter is the ideal season to get your home looking beautiful. One of those projects you should consider doing this winter is updating the interior of your home with a new fresh coat of paint.
Mobile homes cost from $4,144 to $11,840 to paint. The U.S. Census Bureau pegs the average sale price of a single-wide mobile home at $57,700, which means that a high-quality paint job averaging $11,840 would represent more than 20 percent of the original purchase price of the house. Fortunately, the vinyl-on-gypsum wall panels inside the average manufactured home are easy to paint, which means it might be more beneficial to go with a painter that charges by the hour rather than by the square foot. .
Highly recommend Kelly Brothers Painting! They have just finished epoxying my cement garage floor and it looks incredible! This was a small garage but a big job. Uplifted spots were ground flat, cracks were cemented closed, floor-to-wall transitions were added, colors and chips were customized, and an extra coat of clear was laid. The finished floor looks amazing, well worth the investment!
When you pull into your driveway each day, instead of thinking about the house painting that needs to be done, it's time for you to request a quote from our Chico painting service.
*The amount of paint needed depends on how many coats you need to apply, the porousness of the wall surface, and the paint quality.
Paint primer costs $10 to $30 per gallon can on average and ensures the paint sticks the surface evenly. Most jobs require a primer, especially if the wall has been painted over, the walls had wallpaper or a textured surface, or for a more drastic color change. Use a latex-based primer with latex paint and oil-based primer with oil paint. A stain-blocking primer offers mildew resistance and blocks most stains from bleeding through the paint. Paint-and-primer combo products are suitable for repainting the same color, or small touch-ups. How Much Paint Do I Need For A Room?
If you choose a higher quality interior paint from Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore, expect to pay $50-$70 per gallon. If choosing lower-grade paint for a big box store like Lowes or Home Depot, you can expect to pay $30-$45 per gallon.
If you are using two coats, you should double the measured square footage. The linear length of the walls in a 10 x 14 room is 48 ft. If you multiply the 48 by 8 (which is the height of the surfaces), you will get 384 sq-ft of the paintable surface.
The second line item “Walls”- walls will be done with the square footage as well. Most painters will charge $2.00- $4.00 per square foot on walls. $2.00 would be one coat, one color and one story home. $4.00 would be 2 coats on everything, a 2 story home, drywall repairs and multiple colors. Example- (1,500 sq ft home X $3.00 sq ft (average) = $4,500.00 to paint all walls. This would include labor and materials.
