When you critique a paint job, it’s the smallest of details that catch the eye. Roller marks, uneven application, and improper cutting detract from the overall look of your home. When you hand the paintbrush over to the professionals at 360° Painting of St. Petersburg, you don’t have to worry about prep work, drip marks, and cleanup.
Note: Auckland is currently in "Red" under the new traffic light system however we're still available for on-site & virtual meetings!
The section “Prep work” describes the preparation needed when painting: moving and covering furniture, cleaning the walls, etc. Sections “Primer” and “Colors” explain the different types of primers and the finishes that a color can have.
How much you’ll make owning your own house painting business will depend a lot on how you choose to run your business. There’s no one clear answer to the question of “how much do paint company owners make”, so consider asking yourself a few questions that will allow you to gauge your unique income potential. Will you do all of the work yourself or will you hire workers to pick up some of the slack? How many jobs do you plan to take on? Will you be able to invest in advertising? What is the demand like in your area? What do other house painters in your community charge?
Exterior house painting costs $1 to $4 per square foot on average. Labor costs increase for homes with multiple stories, repairs, and obstructions like trees, bushes, or uneven ground. To determine the number of coats your project requires, first examine the surface you'll be painting. A porous, rough, textured or previously unpainted surface will generally require more paint, as will a project that involves a dramatic color change. TIP: If you choose a deep, intense color, you may need multiple coats or even a tinted primer for the best results. Less paint may be needed if your color change is subtle, or your home has many "unpaintable" features such as window panes or decorative stone.

Therefore, it is good to aim for a day that has moderate temperature and humidity as well. Paint normally dry well when it not overly humid.
The base and finish of the paint you use, how many coats it takes to cover your home’s siding, and how much prep work your house needs can all influence how much you pay a painting contractor. The more hours of work and materials a project takes, the higher your cost will be.
"After searching the CCO page for painters and recommendations, I gave Josh with A Painters Touch, LLC a call. Josh had planned on having a day for himself but after telling him that this was the second time I had cleared the room to be painted only to be stood up, he stepped up to knock out the job and within an hour the room was on it's way to a new color. He was prompt, courteous, neat, professional and did a fantastic job. If you have any painting or pressure washing needs I would highly recommend giving him a call. Thanks Josh for a job well done!"

Awesome post! I just wanted to add a couple tips about cleaning brushes that might be helpful. If you’re painting and are coming back for second coats later the same day, you can put your brush in a ziplock bag to keep it from drying out while you’re taking a break. When cleaning your brushes, use Murphy Oil Soap, it really helps to get the paint off and is eco friendly. You can even soak brushes in it and clean them later on if you’re a giant procrastinator like I am 🙂 I love following your progress with this house and am so stoked to see the finished product! Cheers and have a great day! Alexandra February 25, 2015 Jill @ Champagne for Everyday February 25, 2015
