This typically falls in the winter months of November-February each year when painting companies are less busy. Colder weather means fewer exterior painting jobs available for painters which results in more competitive price quotes for interior work.
As for actually using the sprayer, the main thing to remember is to not overcoat with paint. Two or three quick passes will minimize drippage as opposed to trying to get a full coat on all at once. (Which I learned the hard way. The first room I painted was so drippy droppy, we had to do some extra sanding once it dried. I felt so bad!) Only by actually using the sprayer will you get a method down. By the time I was done with the sprayer, I felt like a pro and actually had fun painting!

Where you live can play a big factor in how lucrative your painting business can be. If you live in an area with high housing prices and with residents that have extra money to invest in home repairs, then you shouldn’t have any trouble finding work at fair rates. Homeowners associations often encourage and may even require homeowners to refresh the paint on the outside of their homes every few years. This means that if you keep your customers happy, they may keep coming back to you whenever they need a touch up. Drumming up new business is half the challenge, so if you can secure repeat customers, you’ll be off to a great start.

I agree heavily with your decision to buy the higher end brushes. Choosing the quality tools over the cheap ones, even despite the price, is definitely the right way to go when undergoing a DIY painting project. The difference it provides is day and night! In my opinion, the money used to buy the top tier equipment saves you from any extra stress or headaches that poor quality brushes or tape can cause, so in the end it really is a win! All in all, this is a very well written and informative article, thank you for sharing your experience! MACKAY PRO PAINTERS July 14, 2020
