I got several quotes from painters in the area to paint my house. One guy was almost a no show to the estimate (only came hours late after I called him) and took weeks to provide me with a quote, another guy was just too new and had no reviews or portfolio. As for actually using the sprayer, the main thing to remember is to not overcoat with paint. Two or three quick passes will minimize drippage as opposed to trying to get a full coat on all at once. (Which I learned the hard way. The first room I painted was so drippy droppy, we had to do some extra sanding once it dried. I felt so bad!) Only by actually using the sprayer will you get a method down. By the time I was done with the sprayer, I felt like a pro and actually had fun painting!
There’s a pretty significant difference in cost between a full-scale repaint, and a single room touch-up. Figure these things out ahead of time to save you from being charged more than you expected. However, if the touch-ups are significant a full re-paint is recommended.
