Painting might seem like an easy task — and it well may be, for a pro — but most experts recommend not doing this job yourself. Outdoor painting is more complicated than indoor painting, since siding materials can be difficult to paint on and you have to account for elements like wind and humidity.
Some paints have a much higher value because of the sheen, thickness, ease of use, and more. A cheap bucket of paint can cost as low as 15 bucks. However, in most cases, you will end up using more product due to lack of coverage. While it may be tempting to buy the cheap stuff, especially when you’re going to be needing 10-plus buckets for a whole home job, it’s important to remember that you get what you pay for.
If you need to paint over a dark color, water damage, or mold stains, you'll need to add a primer paint at $10 to $20 per can.

Example- (1,500 sq ft home X $3.00 sq ft (average) = $4,500.00 to paint all walls. This would include labor and materials.

We’re currently flipping a house from the late 60s. We stripped popcorn ceilings ourselves in the entire house, re-textured every ceiling and wall, replaced all of the trim, and repainted every surface.
