It’s smart to compare the completed work to what was promised on the written invoice. Ask your company representative to walk through the job site with you and show you the work. Check what was done against the invoice. During the walk-through, ask if there are any special instructions for maintaining your new paint. If you have questions about the work that was done or the materials used, this is the time to ask. Written Warranties Get Warrantees in Writing from Local Painters in Sonoma County

One of the most important factors affecting the cost of painting your entire house is size. Generally speaking, one gallon of primer 1 or paint is needed to cover 400 square feet of space. The average house is about 2,500 square feet. With this being said, you may need multiple coats to effectively cover your home’s interior and exterior, impacting the overall cost. Between materials and labor, you can expect to pay between $4,500 and $32,000 depending on the size of your home, number of stories, and shape of the rooms inside. Let’s take a closer look at each price point. The prices in the table below include only one coat of paint.

Average-sized townhouses cost between $4,813 and $13,750 to paint. A townhouse may have two or three floors and often sports a rather narrow width compared to traditional single-family homes. Painting the exterior of a two-story or three-story structure usually costs more because it takes extra effort to reach the top floors. Still, one of the perks of living in a townhouse is that the exterior only includes the front and the back since the sides are shared walls with other townhouses. Shared walls may offset the added labor cost required to paint the upper stories.

Oil-based primers cost between $25 and $70 a gallon. Latex-based primers are good for drywall and work with latex paints. They can cover and seal small stains. Latex primers cost between $15 and $60 a gallon. Shellac primers are good for wood and for covering major damage from smoke or water. They can seal in the smell of smoke and any staining. Shellac primers cost between $30 and $80 a gallon.
I had my condo painted by Kelly Brothers. Justo and his crew Eqrue and Jesus. Took them 5 day's painting everything. All closets, doors, trim and baseboards. They painted two coats on all ceiling and walls. Justo and his crew did a excellent job & I would recommend them to anyone. I walked in several times without them noticing and they took their time being very careful while painting. Pleasant and friendly. No I didn't know anyone in this company before I had it painted. The estimaent seemed a little high but I always believe you get what you pay for and it was well worth it. They left me three gallons of paint one for each color I had painted. Thanks again Justo, Eqrue and Jesus.
