Aside from the size and the material of your home, there are several factors that affect how much it costs to paint your home. If you paint the home yourself you’ll almost certainly spend less than you would if you hired professional painters. If you’re doing a cost comparison, remember to include the cost of painting equipment when you’re tallying the cost of a DIY paint job. You’ll need a ladder, brushes and buckets in addition to the paint itself. For an interior job, you’ll probably want tape and a drop cloth.
You have the time, ability, resources, and help to get the job done quickly and safely. If you’re looking to save money (and deep dive into a DIY project), you should consider tackling the house painting project yourself. Keep in mind that DIY paint projects are best for homes with little to no prep or repair work. .
To Start, here are some tips we always give regarding painting…then we’ll talk about prep work, primers, choosing colors, and give some very helpful application tips.
I’m going to leave you with a few hints and tips that I’ve picked up in this project and will use on all the next paint projects I tackle:

Kelly Brothers painted our garage floor with an epoxy product. The job was done very professionally with the crew working efficiently while being very personable. They obviously take pride in their work. The cost was very competitive. The end result looks great.

You should always prime before you paint. It guarantees a great finish and allows you to use less paint.
I live next door to this house and I just wanted to say a big “Thank you!” The pictures do not do justice to how terrible the house looked before ABM purchased it. You all have done so much to add value to the house and also our neighborhood. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to meet the family that eventually moves in! Margaret Annie Williamson March 03, 2015
