We hired Ruben's painting to paint the exterior home. Over the phone, he stated he would would paint, patch stucco fixtures, and sand wood trims. Only thing he did was power wash and paint the exterior of the home. Their quality of work was not what we expected. The owner and his workers failed to provide exceptional work. They were suppose to patch stucco fixtures, sand wood trims. The paint on the front door and vents are peeling off. The work was messy and they did not clean up well. They left paint all over the roofing tile and windows. The owner should be around more to supervise his workers. We are dissatisfied and disappointed with this business. Please do your due diligence before hiring this company.
Kelly Bros. was very professional and friendly. We had great quality with our exterior paint job and they completed the work in a timely manner. Would definitely use them again for other paint jobs.

Several factors go into determining the final cost of the project. When it comes to estimating the total cost of your interior painting project, it’s important to think about all the different aspects involved. First and foremost, you should think about the number of coats each wall you are painting requires and the type of paint you use. Higher quality paints will always cost more in terms of materials. Oil-based paints take longer to dry, so they will cost more due to labor. Changing colors between rooms costs more since you’ll be using a wider range of paint. If you’re looking for a way to save money, keep colors consistent from room to room.

This is so helpful! I’m getting ready to paint our upstairs apartment so our new renter can move in and it’s a daunting task. Do you have a recommendation for you favorite painter’s tape? I’ve never found one that seemed to actually do anything. Rosie February 27, 2015
Older homes often have a charm or coziness that newer homes can’t replicate. Plus, they come with well-loved details like built-in shelving, original wood floors or quirky architectural details.
An easy way to calculate the square footage of an average room is to measure the length and the height of the walls and multiply those two numbers together.
It’s very important to prep a room before you paint. This includes movie all the furniture/covering it, and filling in nail holes.
After painting a square on the wall and observing it in different light you choose a color. However, you may discover that what looked great in a small section is too overwhelming once the walls are finished.
Also known as: faux painting, faux finishes, faux finish painting, faux paint texture, decorative painting, decorative faux finishes The final coat of paint applied to walls, ceilings and other structures is referred to as the finish coat. When paint fails and small pieces flake off, the paint is said to be flaking. Like peeling, cracking and blistering paint, flaking paint occurs when a layer of paint detaches from the surface it has been applied to. Once a paint job starts flaking, the best fix is to completely strip and sand the surface and reapply a better quality paint.
Another tip to maintain an even finish when cutting-in is to hold your brush parallel to the adjacent surface then draw a 2' - 3' long paint line in one continuous motion about 1/2" -1" away from the edge, until most of the paint that was on your brush has released onto the surface. This will apply the paint evenly along the line, then you can immediately go back over it to bring your cut line closer to the corner without the fear of having so much excess paint on your brush.
