It took a couple days to get the house primed. When that was done, it was time for our paint party! We had some people over and painted colors, whites, trims, and doors. Bill McKeever, the owner of Excel Painting and Restoration, has built his company on the foundation of quality of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. A licensed general contractor, Bill specializes in paint jobs that include some bit of restoration, working especially hard to enhance your home with the textures, colors, and detail to restore its charming properties.
How many stories your home has will affect the cost of the project greatly. Obviously, the taller your house is, the more surface area to paint. Added height will also make the job more work for the professional painters you hire since they likely will have to work from ladders, which will increase your labor costs.
These preparations can take anywhere from as little as six hours to 12 or more depending on the size of the space and the extent of the damage to the siding. This increases the labor cost by as little as $360 to as much as $960 and possibly even more.

While it’s best to simply choose a Diamond Certified painting company because of their Highest in Quality rating, that may not always be possible. If you’re unable to choose a Diamond Certified contractor in your area of Sonoma County, you can improve your chances of hiring a good painter by checking out candidates on the Contractors State License Board website to ensure active license and workers’ compensation insurance. Violations and license revocations will appear on their license record, so you’ll know about serious customer grievances and complaints that have been filed with the state.
