Painters recommend using semi-gloss, eggshell, and satin paints for bathrooms due to the durability, moisture resistance, and ease of cleaning.
To expand on the above, we’ve painted a bedroom that’s taken a few short hours and cost around $300 and then spent over a week painting a single bedroom with two painters with a total cost of over $5,000.
Location is also a major price factor as those in rural or remote areas do pay cheaper prices. The price we charged for painting the stucco wall around the back of the house was $1700. The approximate square footage of the wall was 3000. The cost per square foot was $0.56. This was a brand new stucco that was applied to the wall just a couple of month ago and the wall did not need any repairs at all. The above price included pressure washing, masking, priming and painting. Since painting of the perimeter walls usually requires very little in terms of the prep work, that is the reason for low per square foot price.
A friend who's home is one street over had The exterior of his house repainted. My friend is very meticulous in everything he does and showed me the work done. The quality was excellent. We had our home done last week as well. Ruben didn't let us down either, the attention to detail is perfect. Ruben's crew worked hard, quietly and cleaned up everything afterwards. He has done several homes in our neighborhood as I've seen his yard sign in front of a few of them.
I ended up scraping off paint and wallpaper down to the plaster. It took a couple days to finish. I’m so glad they only did that in the one room! Again, moisture really helped in the process. The more I soaked the walls, the easier it was to scrape and remove the wallpaper and paint. After I had the entire room scraped down to the bare plaster walls, I realized I would have to repair some cracks and skim coat the entire room if there were going to be halfway decent looking walls.
We're very happy with the performance of Kelly Brothers. The company sent out an Estimator, a color advisor, a Project Manager, and a Crew lead forman. All of these workers were professional and efficient in their respective roles.

If you’re painting uncoated wood, scuff-sand a small area. You want to be able to blow the dust away with ease. If you can’t, give it more time to dry.
If you’re planning on repainting your home, you may have to take a few extra steps. Depending on the state of your walls and the current color, you’ll probably have to put a layer of primer down first. That way, you can be sure the new color shines without the old showing underneath. For the average 2,500 sq.ft. house, you can expect to pay between $7,700 and $10,500 with the primer layer.
